Mrs. Sedegah is the Founder and CEO at Utopia Health Services, Inc. – a private, state-licensed behavioral health agency located in Baltimore City & Prince Georges County, Maryland. She specializes in child, adult and family mental health and well-being; bringing more than ten years of theoretical knowledge and experience working with consumers from diverse groups and populations.
As a Maryland Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS); Mrs. Sedegah is committed to arming individuals with mental health problems with the desire to seize positive opportunities and overcome negative environments. She firmly believes that all individuals have the ability to defy odds and rise above the oppressive stereotypes that plague their communities.
She received her Bachelor of Arts from University of Maryland, Baltimore County in Developmental Psychology and Masters of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling from Coppin State University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology at Howard University in Washington, DC.
She has held a number of positions, all of which have been held in high regard. She has served as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Applied Psychology and Rehabilitation Counseling at Coppin State University, an Outpatient Psychotherapist at Life Renewal Services, a Disability Case Manager at Cigna Behavioral Health, a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the Maryland Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS), and a Residential Rehabilitation Manager at Humanim Inc.
She is also a member of various organizations (including the National Rehabilitation Association, American Counseling Association, American Psychological Association, Chi Sigma Iota International Honor Society and the National Alliance on Mental Health).
